Health and milestones update!

Hey everyone! We have been to a lot of doctors lately and just wanted to update everyone on what has been going on. At Adilynn's 9 month check up she weighed 13 lbs 6oz. which was in the bottom 5% which she has been in all along. The doctor told me she wanted me to take her to get her eyes checked, to the feeding clinic at the hospital, and that we needed to find a neurologist (which we had been putting off since our bad experience with the other one we saw). So I started making appointments, talking to insurance, waiting for people to call me back, and waiting for things to get approved!!! First we went to get her eyes checked and they checked out perfect!! Yay Adilynn got Mommy's eyesight! Then we found a new neurologist who just came to the springs. We liked him a lot better than the last one, he made no predictions about her future which we appreciated because that is only for God to know! And he ordered her to get an EEG which measures her brain activity and to make sure she is not having seizures. (He also wants her to get an MRI but agrees with us we can wait untill she is older and puts on more weight) This made me nervous but he assured us they did not have to put her to sleep and it is pain free so that made me feel better. Justin took the day off and we took her for the EEG she did wonderful only cried for a few minutes and we got her to fall asleep which is what we were suppose to do. Yay... the test results came back she doesn't have seizures and she has completely normal brain activity for her age!! Praise God! We finally got into the feeding clinic to see if they could tell us why she doesn't seem to have much of an appetite and they were very nice spend two hours talking to us and evaluating her and they couldn't tell us much but want her to get speech therapy with an emphasis on feeding. Of course after this appt Adilynn has started eating much better and is trying new things!! And now eating 4 oz at a time sometimes as oppose to the 2 oz she ate before when other babies her age are eating 8 oz. Anyways she has only gained a few ozs in the last three months but she is developing wonderfully. She started crawling at about nine months and has not been still since she pulls up on everything and loves to finger walk she is starting to cruise on furniture a bit too. She says "mom" and "elmo" (who she is now obsessed with!) and has started throwing fits when she gets mad, she slams down on the floor and screams! She loves her baby pool and sesame street and anything that gets her out of the house! She is a true gift and we know God has his hand on her and we thank him for that!
